We are a friendly and accessible NHS GP practice serving over 6,000 patients in Wavertree and Childwall, delivering first-class, patient-centred care from our historic Penny Lane premises. Our wide range of services ensures personalised care at every stage of life.

Clinicians
We are an NHS GP surgery with two GP Partners, as well as regular sessional GPs, GP Registrars and Foundation Doctors working at the practice.
Nursing team
We also have a nursing team which is made up of two practice nurses. They are here to deal with a whole range of appointments including annual reviews of long-term health conditions, diagnostic procedures, and contraceptive care.
General Medical Services (GMS) contract
The practice team deliver a full range of clinical services under our General Medical Services (GMS) contract with NHS England.
Training practice status
We are proud to be a GP Training practice. You may be offered an appointment with a GP trainee who is a fully qualified doctor who has chosen a career in general practice, a junior Doctor who is also a fully qualified Doctor or a 5th year medical trainee (who isn't a fully qualified Doctor yet. If you see a 5th year trainee, as GP from Penny Lane Surgery will be present during the consultation to supervise).
